Tips & Variations
Mozzarella
Grated mozzarella melts well and forms a mild cheese crust. For a little more flavour, mix it with some extra Parmesan.
Serving suggestion
A fresh green salad or a crisp cucumber salad goes well with it. The light side dish balances the creamy, hearty bake.
Pasta
Cook it until only just al dente so it doesn’t get too soft in the oven.
Making ahead
Assemble the bake in advance and keep it in the fridge until baking. If the ingredients are fridge-cold, the baking time may be a little longer.
