Tips & Variations
Vegetables
Fresh baby spinach, briefly fried mushrooms, courgette or pepper all work well. Vegetables with a lot of moisture are best fried first so the omelette doesn’t turn watery.
Cheese
Feta, grated mozzarella or other cheese can be scattered over one half just before folding.
Herbs & seasoning
Chives, parsley, nutmeg or paprika add variety.
Adding a filling
Add pre-cooked ingredients once the omelette has started to set, then finish cooking and fold it over. Depending on the type, cook raw ingredients beforehand.
Serving suggestion
Served with a green salad or a slice of bread, it becomes a more substantial meal.
